Yes, you can upgrade your membership to Fellow Plus or Fellow Premium at any time. If you upgrade before your current membership term expires, you will be charged the full difference in price between your current options and your new one. Upon upgrading, your new benefits will activate immediately and run through the remainder of your current membership term.
Alternatively, you could wait to renew your membership during your renewal period and select a different option. In that case, your new benefits would become active at the end of your current membership term and run for one year.
Keep in mind, if you are nearing the end of your current membership term, we recommend renewing your membership, rather than upgrading.
The cost to upgrade is the price difference between your current membership and your new selected one. For instance, upgrading from Professional to Plus costs $200. Since the benefits included in Plus and Premium are of such high value, the upgrade cost is the full difference in cost, even if you don’t have a full year of membership remaining. Upgrading now would give you Plus or Premium membership immediately through the end of your current membership term.
Reasons to upgrade your membership option before your term ends could include wanting immediate access to Fellow Plus or Premium resources, such as Specialty CME content or AAPA Conference on Demand.
The CME on Demand packages currently included in Fellow Plus are Adult Hospital Medicine Boot Camp on Demand, Family Medicine on Demand, Fluoroscopy Test Preparatory Course, Leadership and Advocacy on Demand, Musculoskeletal Galaxy on Demand, Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS) on Demand, and Psych on Demand.
Membership also includes InNetwork CME courses and bundles in the areas of women’s health, emergency medicine, clinical decision-making tools, psychiatry, and more.
To access the CME included with your Plus membership, log in to your Learning Central account and click Start to begin an activity.
AAPA’s on-demand products are not live sessions and do not require advance registration. Rather, they are recorded sessions from AAPA in-person events that you can view on your own time following the live event. Registration for in-person events is sold separately and not included in your membership. But as a member, you do receive a discount on registration to AAPA events.
