The American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) has released a new national survey, conducted by Morning Consult, that highlights physician support for PAs as a solution to provider shortages and access challenges. Morning Consult is a leading data intelligence company specializing in survey research.

AAPA and the Physician Associate Foundation (PAF) are working on several key projects aimed at improving healthcare and addressing health disparities across the country. These projects have wide-reaching impacts – from improving colorectal cancer screening rates and mental healthcare services in schools, to working to diversify the PA profession.

Throughout his life, Ron Fisher wore many hats. Before becoming a PA, he was a sailor, jet mechanic, UPS driver, barber, and nurse. Once a PA, he took on several leadership roles, including secretary and eventually president of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants (PSPA) and president of AAPA from 1982-83.
