AAPA, PAF to Lead Impactful Projects in 2025

AAPA and the Physician Associate Foundation (PAF) are working on several key projects aimed at improving healthcare and addressing health disparities across the country. These projects have wide-reaching impacts – from improving colorectal cancer screening rates and mental healthcare services in schools, to working to diversify the PA profession.

Grantee Spotlight: Fighting Diabetes with Healthy Lungs and Feet

With funding from the PA Foundation’s Robert K. Pedersen Global Outreach Grant Program, Carroll University’s Waukesha Free Clinic opened their doors to administer vaccines and provide diabetic foot exams and foot care education for diabetic patients in Wisconsin.

Honoring Ron Fisher (1943-2024), Past President of AAPA

Throughout his life, Ron Fisher wore many hats. Before becoming a PA, he was a sailor, jet mechanic, UPS driver, barber, and nurse. Once a PA, he took on several leadership roles, including secretary and eventually president of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants (PSPA) and president of AAPA from 1982-83.
