Calling All Community Oncology and Hematology Clinicians – Don’t Miss This Exciting New Opportunity
Multiple Myeloma ECHO® will run virtually from September 2025 through April 2026
August 14, 2025
AAPA, in partnership with the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, Med-IQ, HealthTree Foundation, and the Association of PAs in Oncology, is proud to announce a new and exciting learning opportunity. Beginning in September 2025, interested community oncology clinics can participate in Multiple Myeloma ECHO®, an interactive program designed specifically for community oncology and hematology clinicians, including physician associates and nurse practitioners (NPs).
Multiple myeloma presents ongoing challenges for community oncology practices, with high relapse rates and a disproportionate impact on patients with African ancestry. Although novel B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) bispecific antibodies (bsAbs) offer significant promise, many clinicians encounter gaps in guideline familiarity, adverse event management, and access to coordinated care.
“PAs and NPs are integral component of the healthcare teams for myeloma patients. Their exemplary care providing education and monitoring adverse effects not only improves the treatment adherence but also the longevity and quality of life,” said Ajay K. Nooka, MD, one of the experts leading Multiple Myeloma ECHO®. “This care is more essential while myeloma patients received bispecific antibodies as timely intervention is of essence for few associated complications.”
