AAPA is proud to announce that AAPA CEO Lisa M. Gables, CPA, was recently appointed to the Primary Care Collaborative (PCC) Board of Directors.
Founded in 2006, PCC is a not-for-profit multi-stakeholder membership organization dedicated to advancing an effective and efficient health system built on a strong foundation of primary care and the patient-centered medical home. Representing a broad group of public and private organizations, PCC’s mission is to unify and engage diverse stakeholders in promoting policies and sharing best practices that support growth of high-performing primary care and achieve the “Quadruple Aim”: better care, better health, lower costs, and greater joy for clinicians and staff in delivery of care.
In a recent announcement, PCC welcomed Gables and another addition to the board, J. Nwando Olayiwola, MD, MPH, FAAFP, chief health equity officer and senior vice president of Humana, Inc., highlighting how both new members will bring valuable expertise and insight to the board.
“We are thrilled to have Nwando and Lisa join the board of directors,” said Ann Greiner, PCC’s president and CEO. “As the new CEO of AAPA, Lisa represents a critical part of the primary care team, and her experience in the aging community is invaluable.”
The PCC board provides strategic direction in an organization whose strength lies in its ability to bring together 60 executive member organizations that share a commitment to making primary care the foundation of a high-value health system.
