Hear from other Clinical Preceptors on the importance of educating the next generation of PAs.
I can share with PA students the knowledge I’ve gained from working in my specialty for 16 years – but I still learn from them as well. Being a preceptor is a chance to give back to everything the PA profession has given to you.

One of the most important ways you can help patients find and receive the best medical care is to help educate the next generation of PAs. AAPA recognizes the hard work of preceptors through its Clinical Preceptor Recognition Program, developed in cooperation with the PA Education Association (PAEA). If you’re not currently a preceptor, learn more from PAEA about how to become a preceptor.
NEW REQUIREMENTS as of October 2016
To be eligible for the recognition program, you must meet all three requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have already started the application process under the prior requirements, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
