The conference program will provide evidence-based strategies applied to each domain of healthcare provider stress. Wellness experts will review traditional burnout triggers such as difficult patient outcomes and toxic workplace, as well as more recently articulated factors such as systemic racism and moral distress. Clinician impairment experts will outline outcomes of healthcare burnout, such as clinician suicide, medical errors, and healthcare system strain. Wellness solutions at the individual, team, and organization levels will be shared and applied to various clinical scenarios.
During breaks, conference attendees will be engaged in interactive reflective sessions, such as chair yoga, mindfulness meditation, and self-compassion practices. Each day of the conference will terminate with a transition routine. These interactive sessions are meant to allow attendees to immediately begin applying strategies learned at the conference to their lives.
