These terms and conditions (these “Terms”) apply to the text messaging program offered by the American Academy of Physician Assistants (“AAPA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through AAPA’s online properties including, without limitation, www.aapa.org, aapapac.aristotle.com, www.chlm.org, cme.aapa.org, huddle.aapa.org, www.jaapa.com, pa-foundation.org, paportfolio.aapa.org, yourpacan.org, aapa.org/conference, https://salaryexplorer.aapa.org/salary/, Huddle, AAPA’s online communities(s), Learning Central, microsites, mobile websites, mobile applications, AAPA profiles on social media sites, and any other digital services or properties operated or used by the AAPA from time to time (collectively referred to as the “Site”). These Terms are subject to change by the AAPA without prior written notice at any time, in our sole discretion. The latest version of these Terms will be posted on the Site, and you should review these Terms before signing up for any text messaging services that are available through the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a posted change in these Terms will constitute your acceptance of and agreement to such changes.
With your consent, AAPA and its service providers may use an automatic telephone dialing system (“autodialer”) to deliver AAPA text messages to you, including marketing messages. For example, AAPA may use text messages to provide you with information about your renewal notifications. Authorization to receive text messages is not required for any purchase or service.
The number of AAPA text messages that you receive will vary depending on how many of AAPA’s text messaging programs you join. AAPA brands generally have separate text messaging programs, with each separate program using its own “short code” (five-digit number from which text messages are sent). Each AAPA text messaging program you join may send you periodic text messages.
Message and data rates may apply to each text message sent or received in connection with AAPA text messages, as provided in your mobile telephone service rate plan (please contact your mobile telephone carrier for pricing plans), in addition to any applicable roaming charges. AAPA does not impose a separate fee for sending AAPA text messages.
Supported carriers may change from time to time, but currently include, without limitation, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, and Virgin Mobile.
How to Opt-In
To opt-in to receive text messages from an AAPA text messaging program(s), please follow the instructions provided by the specific brand from which you wish to receive messages.
How to Opt-Out
To stop receiving text messages from a specific AAPA text messaging program, text STOP to the five-digit short code for the text messaging program from which you no longer wish to receive messages (i.e., the five-digit number from which its text messages are being sent). You will then receive confirmation of you opt-out of that text messaging program. This will only opt you out of the specific text messaging program associated with that five-digit short code. You will remain opted in to other AAPA text messaging programs. If you want to opt out of all AAPA text messaging programs, you can use the instructions in each opt-out confirmation message to reply and opt out of all AAPA text messaging.
Your Mobile Telephone Number
You represent that you are the account holder for the mobile telephone number(s) that you provide to us when signing up for text messaging. You are responsible for notifying AAPA immediately if you change your mobile telephone number. You may notify AAPA of a number change by submitting an email to [email protected].
