AAPA President, Folusho Ogunfiditimi, Releases Statement on Hawaii Wildfires
AAPA President and Chair of Board Folusho Ogunfiditimi, DM, MPH, PA-C, DFAAPA, today released the following statement on the wildfires in Hawaii.
“AAPA and the PA community send our heartfelt condolences to our fellow PAs as well as their patients, family members, and friends whose communities have been devastated by the ongoing wildfire crisis in Maui. To the brave PAs and other healthcare providers serving in the medical response, we thank you for your courage in putting yourself into harm’s way to provide emergency care to so many in their time of great need.”
For those interested in donating to help those affected by the fires, AAPA joins the Hawaii Academy of Physician Assistants in encouraging contributions to one of the following local foundations:
- The Hawaii Community Foundation Maui Strong Fund
- Maui United Way Maui Fire and Disaster Relief
- Donation Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement – Kako’o Maui Fund
