Governance Review Task Force
Task Force Charges
- Identify key issues and questions pertaining to the function of AAPA’s governance requiring further study. These issues may be in addition to the following:
- Board of Director’s composition and size,
- Regional and CO representation on the Board level,
- Transparency & function of the House of Delegates,
- HOD’s ability to represent the PA profession and all PAs.
- Engage experts to perform a comprehensive review of AAPA’s governance structure and study the identified issues/questions in the relation to member, leader and staff input.
- Report findings to the House of Delegates and Board of Directors, including any recommendations for further action.

Students at Conference Task Force
Task Force Charges
- Evaluate and develop ways to reduce economic barriers for PA students to attend and/or participate in AAPA’s annual conference.
- Identify ways to engage students more regularly and affordably with AAPA’s offerings adding value to their student experience and exposing them to the important role they play to help patients receive quality and access to care.
- Review the products and services available to students via AAPA and identify gaps in offerings to consider what will better prepare students for graduation and ultimately to work as a PA.
- Report findings to the House of Delegates (HOD) and Board of Directors (BOD), including any recommendations for further action.
