What Is the Musculoskeletal Galaxy?

Learn critical orthopaedic topics from expert faculty and earn up to 30 credits of AAPA Category 1 CME at this popular conference. In 2021, we are going virtual!

This course is designed to offer PAs and NPs a well-rounded foundation on the essential orthopaedic topics. It’s the perfect course if you are new to orthopaedics, or if you are a family practice, emergency medicine, or urgent care provider who sees musculoskeletal conditions in your daily practice. Faculty will discuss topics across orthopaedic specialties, including the most common conditions of the spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and foot.

The virtual event features:

  1. 3 days of scheduled, live virtual sessions with the opportunity to engage with expert faculty
  2. Access to 13 additional sessions that you can watch whenever is convenient for you

Accreditation Statements

The 2021 Musculoskeletal Galaxy: General Course – Virtual has been reviewed by the AAPA Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for up to 30 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. Approval is valid through June 30, 2022.

Are you an NP?

NPs can often claim AAPA Category 1 CME credit as continuing education with AANPCB and ANCC. Check with your certification/licensing authority to confirm that AAPA credit is acceptable – and then register for this great course!

There are two parts to the Galaxy 2021 virtual conference experience: live virtual sessions and self-paced sessions.

Live Virtual Sessions

The live virtual sessions will take place from June 24 – 26, 2021. On each of the three days, there will be live virtual sessions that take place at specific times. During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to participate in interactive polling and Q&A with the speakers. Take a look at the schedule for the live virtual sessions so you can book your calendar accordingly.

Not able to watch the sessions at the scheduled time? No problem! A recording of each live virtual session will be available at the end of the conference for you to watch at a more convenient time.

Self-Paced Sessions

Watch these 13 additional sessions whenever you’d like! These additional sessions will be released to participants at 9 a.m. EDT on Thursday, June 24, 2021.

Registrants will have access to all recordings until June 30, 2022.

*This course is not approved for Category A continuing education for certified athletic trainers.

You will receive an email one week before the conference start date with instructions on accessing the sessions and handouts in AAPA’s Learning Central.

Course Evaluations and CME Certificate

Your feedback helps us plan future conferences; therefore, your completion of course evaluations is a prerequisite for a CME certificate. The course evaluations will be available in AAPA’s Learning Central beginning Thursday, June 24, 2021. You will have until Thursday, June 30, 2022 to participate in all of the sessions, complete the evaluations, and obtain your CME certificate.
