Learning Central is AAPA’s Learning Management System (LMS) that delivers high quality online continuing medical education (CME) and provides healthcare professionals with relevant, engaging, and timely activities. AAPA hosts and distributes education on this platform and since its launch on May 15, 2013, Learning Central has proven to be a highly effective educational vehicle attracting numerous learners. It has hosted over 1,000+ CME activities, 68,313 unique users and 2,723,951 CME credits. Learning Central is open to AAPA members as well as nonmembers and provides an excellent vehicle for collecting detailed outcome metrics.

If your submission is approved, you will be required to submit the information listed below. Please note, all material should be in final format upon submission. Any late or incomplete materials may affect the launch date.

  3. # of CME Credits (AAPA Category 1 or AAPA Category 1 Self-Assessment)
  4. Preferred Program/Activity Launch Date
  5. Preferred Program/Activity End Date
  6. Learning Objectives – (For help, see Bloom’s Taxonomy)
  7. Activity/Course Format (type of file that will be hosted i.e. video, SCORM files, PDFs, etc.)
  8. Faculty Information (Name, Credentials, Affiliations)
  9. Faculty Disclosures
  10. List of any commercial supporters of the program
  11. List any other program files: handouts, pre/post-assessments question and answers, LMS standards or preferred evaluation, follow up survey
  12. List of any final outcomes reporting requirements
  13. Accreditation needed
