PA Reimbursement and Regulations: What Every Neurosurgical PA Should Know

All PAs must have a working knowledge of the payment policies and practice regulations for the services they provide. This session will cover fundamental billing and reimbursement information every PA should know, including coding and documentation guidelines, “incident to” and split (or shared) billing, and global surgical payments. Regulations related to informed consent, surgical first assisting, and other services will also be reviewed.

Course Objective: At the conclusion of this program, attendees will be able to utilize billing and reimbursement policies and regulations to effectively and efficiently code and request reimbursement that will reduce errors and maximize reimbursement.

This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to apply for 1.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.
