AAPA Event Canceled?

Check Individual Event Pages for Online CME Options

Due to the public health emergency, several of AAPA’s in-person events have been canceled. We recognize that many PAs rely on the CME credit earned at our in-person events to meet their CME requirements. As such, we are working diligently to make the educational and professional content from our conferences available to you online.

Please check our Events page and click on corresponding event for cancellation status and online CME options. Online CME for some of our canceled 2020 events, such as AAPA Conference, can be found in our CME on Demand library. Other online CME may be still in development. Thank you for your patience as we bring these online learning options to you.

Please note, AAPA is not responsible for cancellation notices or online CME for events hosted by external organizations listed on this CME calendar.

My Back Hurts! Diagnosis and Treatment of Back Pain

November 9

Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek medical care and is the most common reason for disability and missed work. Every provider taking care of patients will see this chief complaint often. It is very important to understand the pathophysiology of the various causes of back pain, to recognize important red flags of more emergent diagnoses that if missed and not treated timely can lead to permanent impairment, to learn a proper evaluation and work-up and what are the appropriate tests needed to arrive at the diagnosis, and to learn what the treatment options are for the different diagnoses.
