Commission on Continuing Professional Development & Education
AAPA is seeking PA fellow members to serve on the Commission on Continuing Professional Development & Education (CCPDE) for a three-year term beginning May 2027. The deadline to apply is January 18, 2027.
The CCPDE was created to assist AAPA on educational content planning, health systems leadership development, conflict of interest policies related to CME, certification changes, and member engagement.
Expectations are that the commission’s work will be conducted via monthly conference calls and via email. Newly appointed commission members volunteer with CME sessions at AAPA 2027 in Phoenix, AZ from May 21-25. All CCPDE members attend a face-to-face meeting in Alexandria, VA held September x-x, 2027. Travel expenses will be covered by AAPA for both meetings.
In addition to the monthly conference calls, CCPDE members will review all of the proposed CME sessions for AAPA 2027 over a period of three weeks in August 2027. The September face-to-face meeting allows CCPDE members to discuss and select the CME sessions for the conference. October will involve follow up on any CME session that the commission had questions about.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee
AAPA is seeking PA fellow members to serve as members-at-large on the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee (DEI Committee) for a two-year term beginning July 2027. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2027.
AAPA’s DEI Committee supports AAPA’s commitment to enhancing diversity of the PA profession, addressing health inequities among patients, and fostering a culture that is committed to health equity and DEI in medicine. For further information on the committee’s work, please read the 2026-2027 committee charges and 2026 report here. The DEI committee’s charges are subject to change for 2027-2028 eadership year.
The committee will conduct its work via conference calls and via email.
Committee members who are PAs must also be a member of a constituent organization.
