This WMCHealth Cardiovascular Symposium for nurses and allied healthcare professionals will offer a comprehensive update on conditions related to cardiovascular disease including topics related to, Valvular Heart Disease, Inherited and Congenital Heart Disease and Cardiomyopathies. This course will include a review of a comprehensive CV history and exam, including heart sounds, hemodynamics and ECG interpretation, evidence-based guidelines for medical management of hypertension, hyperlipidemia and genetic testing, management of valvular heart disease, treatment of congenital heart disease at birth and in adulthood, managing inheritable cardiac arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies common to women, pulmonary hypertension and cardiac transplantation.
Attendees will be able to broaden their understanding of CV disease processes, patient evaluation and treatment using both traditional and newer, advanced technological therapies. The faculty consists of leading experts, physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, in the field of cardiovascular care.
