Request a Proclamation
PA Week is the perfect opportunity to ask employers, city councils, state representatives, and even members of Congress to issue a proclamation to honor and recognize the contributions of the PA workforce in your practice, facility, state, or community. To help your organization secure a proclamation and maximize its impact, we’ve created a guide with a sample proclamation, template press release, and additional tips.
Publish an Op-Ed
One of the most effective ways to educate the public about the PA profession is by publishing an op-ed in a local newspaper or online publication. An op-ed is a brief commentary on a topic that has been in the news recently, or a topic that is familiar to most readers.
To help spread the word about PA Week, AAPA has included a template op-ed for your organization to submit to the local press. Once you have customized the op-ed, follow the tips provided to get it published.
Raise Awareness of the Profession
The following fact sheets are available as guidance when promoting the PA profession.
Download and print these flyers as a tangible reminder of the profession’s unique attributes.
