Barbara Morrison, PA-C, BS, RYT-500
Barbara completed her undergraduate study at University of Vermont with a major in Psychology and French. She earned her degree as a Physician Assistant at Long Island University in Brooklyn NY. She began first practicing primary care in the south Bronx, moved to rural emergency medicine, and then gravitated toward family and internal medicine where she has worked for the past 20 years. Moving across the country raising a young family Barbara found yoga as a way to balance the demands of a full time career, school and sports schedules with her husband in graduate school. Over time the practice helped her stay patient at home and work, relax tense muscles and let go of things she could not control.
Completing advance yoga teacher training in 2020 she teaches several yoga and meditation classes a week while working full time and is specifically invested in helping health care providers learn these practices to better navigate the stressors involved with our work.
