Physician, Engineer, and NASA Astronaut

Serena Auñón-Chancellor, selected by NASA in 2009, is a board-certified physician in Internal and Aerospace Medicine. She recently served as Flight Engineer on the International Space Station for Expeditions 56 and 57, logging 197 days in space on her first flight. During her time on orbit, the crews contributed to hundreds of experiments in biology, biotechnology, physical science, and Earth science on the ISS, including investigations into new cancer treatment methods and algae growth in space. The crew also installed a new Life Sciences Glovebox, a sealed work area for life science and technology investigations that can accommodate two astronauts. She currently covers medical issues and on-orbit support in the Astronaut Office.

Hayley Arceneaux

Arceneaux, a PA at St. Jude who works with pediatric leukemia and lymphoma patients, traveled to space in 2021 on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Resilience where she served as Medical Officer of her mission. She and the crew successfully orbited the Earth for three days and returned to Earth, splashing down in the Atlantic Ocean. While in orbit they participated in multiple biomedical research endeavors.

Kraft currently chairs Medicine at Singularity University and is the founder and chair of NextMed Health and Digital.Health. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, with fellowships in hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplantation, and his academic research spans stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, and immunotherapies for cancer.
