Physician Associate Foundation’s Legends of Mardi Gras at Arnaud’s Historic Restaurant

Step into the elegance and extravagance of old New Orleans at this exclusive evening reception at Arnaud’s. You’ll be welcomed with a classic French 75 cocktail before taking a private stroll through the Germaine Cazenave Wells Mardi Gras Museum—home to one of the largest collections of Mardi Gras costumes in the city. The daughter of Arnaud’s founder, Germaine reigned as queen of more Mardi Gras balls than any woman in history, and her legacy lives on in the museum’s dazzling display of gowns, crowns, and pageantry. The evening continues in the very ballroom where she hosted many of her legendary fêtes, with drinks, passed appetizers, and the unmistakable spirit of Carnival. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

French Quarter Ghosts and Legends Tour

Discover New Orleans’ dark side on this two‐hour haunted history ghost tour. Hear tales of famous hauntings from your local guide and visit the French Quarter’s most infamous and eerie locations.

Important Notes: Transportation to the tour starting point will be on own. Please arrive at the tour meeting location, 723 St. Peter Street, between Bourbon and Royal Streets, no later than 7:45 PM. AAPA staff will be present at starting point. Please wear comfortable shoes as this is a walking tour in the dark. No ADA transportation can be provided for this tour.

Speed through the Louisiana swamp on a thrilling airboat ride! Spot alligators and other wildlife up close, hear wild tales from your Cajun guide, and watch gators go crazy for marshmallows. It’s part adrenaline rush, part nature tour—100% unforgettable.

Important Notes: This adventure requires a 30-40 minute bus ride to/from the boat boarding location. Please prepare to be away from the conference for up to 3.5 hours. Transportation will be provided to and from the Convention Center, departing 45 minutes prior to the start of the tour time, and returning 45 minutes after the conclusion of the tour. Please dress for warm, sunny weather! The boarding location does have a small gift shop with beverages and bathrooms. The airboat noise can be quiet loud and headphones are provided, if you have ear issues or back issues, the vibrations may be uncomfortable!

We’ll begin at the historic St. Joseph Cemetery, where you’ll uncover the fascinating burial traditions and time-honored practices that make New Orleans’ cemeteries unlike any others. From there, stroll into the breathtaking Garden District, a world of grand mansions, sweeping lawns, and Southern charm at its finest.

Along the way, you’ll spot the homes of beloved locals and celebrities like Anne Rice, Sandra Bullock, and John Goodman, as well as iconic filming locations featured in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and the infamous Buckner Mansion from American Horror Story.

National World War II Museum: Into the Vault VIP Experience

Exclusive Jazz Concert at Preservation Hall

Help Someone in Need – Put Together a Kynd Kit

Spend an hour with peers putting together a Kynd Kit, meaningful volunteer projects in a box. You’ll pick, design, and pack one of the following kits: Chemo Care; Dignity Bag for the Unhoused; Domestic Violence Survivor support; Teen Mental Health; or Toys for Shelter Animals. The cost is a donation that will go directly back to creating more Kynd Kits.

 

Authentic New Orleans Cooking Class at New Orleans School of Cooking

Remembering our Roots – A Memorial Ceremony and Reception at the National WWII Museum

Guests will begin with a private hour exploring both levels of the Campaigns of Courage building, immersing themselves in the powerful stories of service and sacrifice. From there, step into the spirit of the 1940s with lively USO-style entertainment before we gather for a meaningful ceremony honoring the PA profession’s proud military roots. The evening concludes with a reception featuring drinks and light appetizers, offering time to connect, reflect, and celebrate together in this unforgettable setting. This event is co-hosted by the Veteran’s Caucus.
