Speakers: Katie Bean, DMS, PA-C, and Beth Macintire, DMS, PA-C
Dr. Bean is a Physician Assistant and Doctor of Medical Science. She completed her undergraduate degree at Florida State University majoring in psychology with a minor in biology before graduating with a Master of Health Science in PA studies from South College. Dr. Bean then went on to achieve her Doctor of Medical Science degree from Lincoln Memorial University and she was in the first cohort to graduate with this degree in the country. She has been a PA for 13 years and has a background in emergency medicine, urgent care, correctional medicine, aesthetics, and regenerative medicine. She has extensive experience in academia and PA education, both on the didactic and clinical sides and loves seeing students achieve their goals and dreams. Dr. Bean is passionate about the Physician Assistant career and wants PAs to be available in every country of the world.
Dr. Macintire is also a Physician Assistant and Doctor of Medical Science. She graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. in Biology and Health Sciences, then completed her master’s degree at the University of Kentucky with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Influenced by her status as a life-long athlete, Dr. Macintire then went to complete a postgraduate fellowship in orthopedic surgery, specializing in both operative and nonoperative management of patients with orthopedic complaints. She left full-time practice for PA education and has since completed her Doctor of Medical Science with a concentration in medical education. Dr. Macintire enjoys trail running, traveling, and helping shape the next generation of providers!
