Get expert direction on reimbursement for PAs and NPs in hospital medicine, with a particular focus on Medicare compliance, by attending this workshop. Reimbursement rules and regulations are constantly changing. Some rules, such as Medicare’s “incident-to” and “shared visit” billing, continue to confound. Meanwhile, federal fraud prevention programs focus greater scrutiny on medical record documentation for both hospital-based inpatient and outpatient claims. Billing methodologies vary widely among payers, creating challenges for calculating a PA’s or NP’s productivity and overall contribution to the practice.
PAs and NPs practicing in hospital medicine and critical care medicine evaluate and stabilize critically ill patients. Bedside ultrasound is an effective adjunct in the evaluation of these patients. This hands-on workshop will provide an introduction to bedside ultrasound, and allow PAs and NPs to incorporate it into their clinical practice. Limited seats available for this pre-course!

"I thought the event was phenomenal and would re-attend and recommend highly to colleagues. The lectures were wonderful and informative, applicable to everyday practice. The breakout sessions were awesome; I learned a ton. Everything was just great; would not change a thing."
"I'm an NP just starting as a hospitalist and feel that this conference will prepare me in my new role."
“The case studies dialogue was particularly helpful for me in understanding challenges and barriers in the hospitalist role.”
“I have taken a lot of this information back to my coworkers and colleagues. There are many valuable charts and tables that I plan to carry in my clinical booklet.”
“Attending this conference was a great supplement to my knowledge base as a new PA in clinical practice. I was not as confident in my hospitalist skills; however, attending this conference, I have an improved understanding of some of the more common disease states and inpatient management of such diseases. I also have learned/been exposed to updated evidence-based methods in clinical practice, to not only share with my counterparts and supervising physician, but to provide quality care to my patients.”
“I am not a hospitalist, but take care of our surgical inpatients. This conference helped a lot with understanding what can be happening outside of the surgical realm, including diabetes management in the hospital.”
