Streamlining PA Licensure in Your State

Since launching in Oklahoma in August 2017, the Uniform Application (UA) for PAs is now accepted by five medical and PA boards in four states (Maine allopathic and osteopathic, Montana, Oklahoma, and Washington allopathic). While this is a great start, in order for the UA to have as big an impact on the streamlining of PA licensure as possible, more states need to start accepting the UA for PAs. If the regulatory board in your state does not yet accept the UA, consider encouraging them to accept the UA for PA licensure. For more information on the UA for PAs, visit the Federation of State Medical Boards page on the physician and PA UAs, or contact Carson Walker, director, constituent organization outreach and advocacy.
