There are many ways you can increase your involvement in the PA profession outside of clinical practice. Your participation in these activities helps to strengthen the profession and to spread the message about the important work that PAs do.

Advocacy 

• Take part in the Grassroots Advocacy and Information Network  
• Participate in the Legislative Action Center 
• Donate to the AAPA Political Action Committee 
• Visit your representatives  
• Host a legislator at your practice 
• Attend town hall meetings  
• Participate in PA Week each October 6-12

Volunteering

• Obtain funding for programs through the Physician Assistant Foundation  
• Participate in leadership positions within AAPA or constituent organizations 
• Explore international volunteering opportunities  

Education

• Serve as CME faculty for Annual Conference 
• Be a preceptor for PA students (contact a PA program near you)
