They'll come, they'll see, they'll conquer Atlanta like it's never been conquered before (well at least since 1999)... the PA way!
- Patrick Bafuma, PA-C: An ED physician Assistant from NYC, chosen for his witty reviews & slightly snarky tone. He writes a mean Yelp review, sometimes literally. His honesty will keep you coming back. (Find Patrick on Twitter.)
- Jim Anderson, PA-C: He sat on the sidelines last year while his wife Pat Devine (an exhibitor for NLM) showed us San Diego as a member of the PAnel last year. This PA at Seattle Children's was selected for the many hats he wears as a part of AAPA volunteer leadership, his submission creatively piqued our interest and for his awesome drawing of the House of Delegates (see picture). (Connect with Jim on Twitter.)
- Melinda Moore, PA-C: Our girl from Texas is back this year. Last year she blogged from her iPhone, offering quick, concise posts about her experiences as a volunteer leader at IMPACT 2009. Her Texas charm warms our hearts and we're happy to have her back. (Tweet with Melinda.)
- Christopher Saj: Another fan of Yelp, this PA student grabbed our attention with his well researched submission on local eateries around the convention center. He also has plans to video-blog/photo-blog while in Atlanta! (See what Chris has been saying on Twitter.)
- Lara Machik, PA-C: She crosses many categories, she's an exhibitor (ever heard of that awesome labcoat company Medelita?), she's a PA, an AAPA member, a new mother. She embodies the diversity of the PA profession & we'd like to welcome her on to give the exhibitor perspective, plus much more. (Check out Medelita on Twitter.)
- Pat Devine: The fine Miss Devine is joining us again! This snappy librarian will make you rethink how you see Atlanta with her witty insights & observations. And remember, the NLM has pens! (Pat is on Twitter too.)
- Jeff Leung, PA-C: An avid photographer, micro-blogger (that means he tweets a lot) and mochaccino addict, he's going to be offering his Atlanta experience in 140 character caffienated bursts. Though not a blogger by nature, you'll be charmed by his witty tweets distilled into blog form. Plus his pictures are always awesome, just check out what he added to the IMPACT 2009 Flickr Group. (Tweets by Jeff.)
- Missy Novak, PA-C: This newly minted PA-C is active in the LGBT caucus & was an avid supporter of her school last year at Challenge Bowl. We're excited to hear the perspective of a PA who can finally earn CME for the first time!
- Danielle Kelly - Danielle joins us again for her second year on the PAnel. Last year she gave tips on making your trip a little more budget friendly and smashed glass, literally, at one of the coolest places in San Diego. Leave it to Danielle to find the coolest places to play while in Atlanta. (Chat with Danielle on Twitter.)
Well that's it for the 2010 PAnel, I now give this blog over to them, for the most part. In the coming weeks expect intros & maybe some will share their posts that got them picked as members of The PAnel.
For now, see you in Atlanta!
~Lynn
