Distinguished Fellow Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants

The Distinguished Fellow Program of the American Academy of Physician Assistants recognizes AAPA members who have distinguished themselves among their colleagues, as well as in their communities, by their service to the PA profession, their commitment to advancing health care for all people, and their exemplary personal and professional development.

Physician assistants recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of AAPA will have demonstrated outstanding dedication to their profession in at least three of the following areas of achievement:

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Current fellow or sustaining member of the AAPA in good standing.
  2. Fellow member who graduated from their PA program 12 or more years ago AND has had 9 years of Fellow membership in the span of the 12 years prior to application.
  3. Sustaining member who graduated from their PA program 20 or more years ago AND has had 15 years of membership (Fellow and/or Sustaining) in the span of 20 years prior to application
  4. Complete an application detailing accomplishments in 3 or more areas of professional achievement, accruing a combined total of 100 or more points.
  5. A one-time administrative fee of $65 is required upon submission of a completed application.

Only those PAs who meet the AAPA eligibility requirements listed above may access the live application system.
