According to AAPA Bylaws, if an AAPA member has had his or her physician assistant state license revoked as the result of a final adjudicated disciplinary action for violation of professional practice statutes or regulations, then the individual's AAPA membership shall be automatically revoked. Academy membership is not automatically revoked if the loss of a state license is due to an incident that does not impair the individual's capability to provide medical care, such as a lapse in payment of licensure fees. AAPA Policy H-P-3700.2.5 states in part: "AAPA will publish in AAPA News and on the public pages of the AAPA Web site the names of PAs who have lost their membership in the Academy."
In keeping with AAPA policy, the following individual(s) have had their Academy membership revoked:
Ronald Alan Plunkett
California
License number: PA-15879
License revoked: October 29, 2004
Richard P. Brackett
Maine
License number: PA-261
License revoked: July 28, 2006
To requalify for membership status in the Academy or to have the notice of the revocation of license removed from the AAPA Web site, the individual(s) listed above must demonstrate to the Judicial Affairs Committee of the AAPA that they are once again eligible for licensure in the state where the license was revoked.
