WHO
WE ARE
The
AAPA Federal Service Congress represents physician assistants who
are members of a chartered/recognized AAPA federal service constituent
organization, (e.g., Air
Force, Navy,
Army,
Public
Health Service, Veterans
Affairs PA Association ) who work in the federal service sector
or who are retired federal service physician assistants.
WHAT
WE DO
The
purpose of this organization is be to serve as a unified forum for
discussion of issues that are unique and/or important to the function
and practice of physician assistants employed and utilized by the
Federal Government. When appropriate, this organization will formulate
and recommend policies and/or solutions that will promote the most
effective and economical utilization of physician assistants by
the Federal Government. In addition the Congress may, when appropriate,
become politically active to accomplish our stated purpose. In matters
pertaining to Federally employed physician assistants, this organization
is the representative to the AAPA House Officers and Board of Directors.
