Home Study programs have been approved by AAPA for Category I CME credit for the hours listed. Post-tests must be submitted no later than the expiration date in order for Category I credit to be awarded. See instructions within each home study concerning the address for submission of post-tests.

AMAprimarycare – a service provided to AAPA members through a collaboration between AAPA and the AMA.  This site offers online, multimedia educational programs that provide practical, evidence-based information and strategies to stimulate learning and help improve patient outcomes. Topics now available include:  depression (7 modules), Parkinson’s disease (6 modules), and Type 2 diabetes (7 modules).  The American Medical Association designates each module for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

The clinical Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (JAAPA)contains a minimum of one Category I (Preapproved) CME article in every issue. Pain

Pain:  The Online Series

Approved for 12 hours of Category I CME credit.  Twelve modules covering a wide range of considerations including pain in children, pain in the elderly and cancer pain. Courses completed entirely online.  One hour of Category I CME credit for each module completed.  Credit is provided by the AMA and endorsed by AAPA.

Point of Care

PAs can earn Category I CME credit by using one of the Point of Care (POC) tools now widely available.
